Bangladesh has very successfully developed an innovative portal “emporia” (Accessible E-learning and Job Portal for Persons with Disabilities in Bangladesh) for promoting employment of persons with disabilities. The objective is to develop the Persons with Disabilities as skilled manpower on ICT, promote their education and employment and make them contributing citizens to build digital Bangladesh And achieve the Goals of vision 2021 of Government of Bangladesh and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Our friend, Mr. Khandaker Jahurul Alam, Executive Director, Centre  for Services And Information on Disability (CSID), Banglaesh is organizing a demonstration of this unique initiative as a joint initiative of ICEVI West Asia and CSID Bangladesh on 18th May, 2021 at 11 a.m. Bangladesh time (10.30 a.m. India Time). As this is a very creative and innovative initiative, I invite you to join us during this demonstration to understand how a portal could be used as a tool for promoting skill development, professional training and employment of persons with disabilities.
