Nepal Delegation Visiting Inclusive Education in Gujarat
ICEVI West Asia is hosting an inter-country visit of Nepal team to Blind People’s Association and Govt of Gujarat during 21 to 27 August , 2022. A team of 21 persons from the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, Govt of Nepal, Handicap International, World Education and other organizations promoting inclusive education in Nepal shall be observing various activities and approaches on inclusiveness. 2 Members of ICEVI West Asia, Nandini Rawal and Bhushan Punani along with professional team of BPA shall be coordinating this visit. During the visit, the team shall be meeting officials from Department of Education, Education for all Program and Gujarat Council for Educational Research & Training as well as Ambedkar Open University.
The ICEVI and BPA team shall also conduct one day workshop on inclusive education on 23rd August, 2022. Thanks to Mr Birendra Pokhrel, Chairman, ICEVI West Asia for enabling this visit of Nepal Team to Gujarat. Ms Seema Acharya and Ms Kavita visited office of BPA to make all logistical arrangements for this visit. The visiting officials shall visit activities of BPA, attend one day seminar on inclusive education, meet State Govt officials of Samagar Shiksa project and visit an inclusive school during their visit. They will also have interaction with Special Educators promoting inclusive education.
